I have created a few timelines on the desktop Mac and saved them to my dropbox folder. But those files I saved can not be opened with the apps on my iPad and iphone. What’s wrong?

Dont expect you’ll be able to do everything you’ve see in the youtube videos, might have a simple lay out, but its pretty impossible to do the things I bought it for, like intergration with keynote. Would be helpful if the company took the time to provide intructions.
I like it, and it performs well, but the new user interface is not so friendly. and to some extent diminishes your productivity.
I think previous version was better. You can not see the evolution of the timeline while you build it. Now they charge you to view the chart.
There really should be a show/hide button for the Event Editor. The automatic show/hide is very annoying. Events with start/end dates should be represented visually with a bar or something for the duration. The only visual cue is for the start date. It would be nice if I could drag events in 2D timeline view to different heights. Theme editing is buggy and doesn’t “stick” Font editing is poorly implemented, doesn’t “stick.” I’ve been using this product for years but I usually end up uninstalling after I’m finished with a project. If the above issues were fixed and the app was given some attention and polish, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy the full unloked version. As it is now, I won’t even by the individual upgrades via in-app purchase. Major update is very much appropriate. All that said, it’s a cool product and has great potential. The best of any OS X timeline software I’ve found. BEEDOCKS could absolutely OWN this space with a new version.
I am disappointed in at least 5.5.1, as earlier versions had the horizonal bars that marked the start and stop. I dont know exactly when the bars disappeared, but they have been gone for a while. This version seems mostly focused on aesthetics, not function, and to lose the horizontal bars made it useless to me as a timeline showing the relationship of durations was why I got it in the first place. A basic feature that is missing, in my mind, is a "range of interest". I might have a timeline of many years, but for what I am working with now (such as a presentation) maybe I want to focus on a six-month period and as far as the presention goes, anything before or after is ignored for the time being. I bring this up because I have asked for it since Bronze Age man. Before this version, it would have received 4 or 5 stars from me but now I must look elsewhere.
I “upgraded” from version 3.9 - which isn’t that great to begin with. All I wanted to do was print my existing timeline on a single page. Now I can’t even see it as a timeline. And what’s with the in app purchases? Run away from this disaster of an app. Now I have to go find something useable for a presentation tomorrow.
One of the worst, buggiest apps I’ve ever seen in my life. Got me out of a jam at work, but I woudln’t use it unless it was an emergency.
This software is minimalist in nature. What you are presented with is a stripped down window that allows you to put in combinations of when and what. This is really all this app is meant to do. This is good, but it could be outstanding. Why can’t I drag and drop a series of emails into this app and create a timeline out of them? Why not include integration with OmniPlan and/or OmniFocus? There is a huge amount of potential for this app. It’s just missing critical integration...
This is just straight TRASH!!!!!
I paid $65 for a past version that had far more options and capabilities. However, that version does not work under Yosemite and El Capitan. In comparison, this version is very limited and disappointing. Still, it is speciality software. I use it once or twice a year to produce timelines. When I need it, I need it, and this version, though limited, works. The best I can say is that it is adequate.
While not without its perfections, the app functions rather well for being free. It offers a simplisitic approach to creating a timetime. However, it has various problems that keep it from operating perfectly and that make it an annoying challenge. The dates will mix up so later dates will be listed before earlier dates, and since the dates cannot be dragged around there is no fixing this unless you want to rewrite the whole timeline (which isn’t efficient or fun if you’ve already written down a dozen dates with notes included). The 3D view, while a nice feature, isn’t very visually attractive. I want to see my dates spread out in a readible fashion not tiny scribbles on a tiny timeline. The sidebar is also way to sensitive when the 3D feature is open.
